The valley produces some of Frances most famous wines mostly from Grenache Syrah and Mourvedre.
Rhone wine. The Rhône Valley is the capital of French gastronomy and the birthplace of Côtes du Rhône Grands Crus and Beaujolais wines. It follows the course of the Rhone river for almost 150 miles from Lyon to the Rhone Delta. Most of the production is in sparkling wine.
